Edison Place is comprised of the revitalization of an existing apartment building and the addition of a new construction building that combined, energize and transform the site. The existing 100-unit building has been substantially renovated and upgraded, and a newly constructed building provides an additional 100 units of affordable housing. The 200 one- and two-bedroom units are affordable to households with annual incomes from 30% to 80% of AMI. Smith & Henzy secured an award of $8.5 million in competitive SAIL financing from the state to develop workforce housing at Edison Place. With a central courtyard, balconies, and architectural details throughout, Edison Place is designed to engage with the public realm. Construction will be complete on Edison Place in 2022.
